Gingerleaf Floral is a floral design studio based in Oakland, CA specializing in weddings, celebrations and corporate accounts and events.
Ellen Kim, Gingerleaf Floral’s owner, needed to update her site design to better highlight her portfolio – I implemented a new WordPress theme for her that made use of all the amazing photographs taken at weddings of her work and made them the visual centerpiece for the users to see when they first come on the website.
Gingerleaffloral.com was featured on the showcase page for the theme it was built / designed with (The Theme Foundry’s Make).
The Local Butcher Shop in Berkeley’s Gourmet Ghetto sells high quality, sustainable meat and poultry, all sourced locally within 150 miles of the store!
They needed a revision to their basic wordpress.com site. I created a design for them by customizing a responsive (mobile-friendly) WordPress theme, with the goal of giving users a similar experience to actually being in the store, through the use of hand-drawn chalkboard elements (which are present throughout) and photography, and migrated the site to a reliable WordPress-optimized host (wpengine).
Recently, they were ranked 3rd out of the 25 best butcher shops in the country!
Chef Arnon Oren sells a line of slow roasted artisan almonds, pecans, cashews, and macadamia nuts, and is a thriving Bay Area catering business.
I recently migrated and redesigned his website using shopify, got his products listed on Amazon, and set up a twitter and facebook presence for his business to let customers know when he’s coming to a food fair or farmer’s market near you.
Ella Baker Center is an Oakland, CA grassroots organization focused on social justice, green jobs, community building events and youth empowerment.
I worked with Ella Baker Center for Human Rights to redesign their site to better highlight their campaign work, as well as provide a more cohesive look & feel throughout the site that was lacking in their previous site. They’re the kind of organization I feel very proud to have worked with, and whose mission I want to help succeed with my design work.
FitWise Pilates is a health and wellness studio in El Cerrito – I overhauled their existing WordPress site and updated it with a customized a responsive (mobile-friendly) theme, and migrated their site to a more secure WordPress optimized host (wpengine.com)
The Organic Trade Association (OTA)’s mission is to promote and protect organic trade to benefit the environment, farmers, the public, and the economy. OTA envisions organic products becoming a significant part of everyday life, enhancing people’s lives and the environment.
I designed an interactive website as a resource for U.S. companies and others wanting to learn more about export requirements and organic regulations worldwide. Users can select the country to which they wish to export and find out if the market is open or if trade barriers exist, what the country’s laws and standards for organic are, who to contact to help in exporting to that country.
I also designed a mobile interface, and an adaptation of their logo specifically for the site.
American Chemical Society (ACS) is the world’s largest scientific society and one of the world’s leading sources of authoritative scientific information.
I designed the website for their undergraduate division as well as the printed student handbook (using Adobe InDesign).
